For clients who are interested in going out-of-network through their PPO insurance, I recommend to first check with the insurance company to confirm that an out-of-network provider can be accepted. Upon request, I provide a periodic "super bill" which a client can then send to their insurance company, according to the insurance specifications, for a partial reimbursement of the full psychologist fee that was paid at each appointment. A "super bill" includes dates of appointments, the full fee that was paid, and a clinical diagnosis of the client's symptoms at the time of the appointments..
